Babs Ogundeyi is the Co-Founder/ Chief Executive Officer of Kuda bank popularly known as bank of the free. He had his education at Brunel University London, B.A (Honours) and Business Studies and Account, Kings College, Taunton.

Kuda is Nigeria’s first full- service digital-only bank certified by the Central Bank with a charge to make banking more accessible and affordable. Kuda is a full- service, digital-only bank with branches in London, and its headquarters in Lagos. It also distinguishes itself from digital wallets by furnishing guests with free debit cards that are transferred at no cost. 

Kuda raised $1.6 million pre-seed financing in the UK in 2019 and is now looking to raise a series A round. In 2020, Kuda launched a COVID-19 fund to give relief to vulnerable groups in Lagos, a megacity of over 20 million people. ·

Babs Ogundeyi cofounded Kudimoney, Nigeria’s first online lending and savings platform, which was rebranded to Kuda in 2019 after receiving a licence from the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Also, he was a Former Special Adviser to the Governor on Finance from 2011-2015. He was in charge of raising capital in the state, leading the state’s largest bond issue in history – a$ 55 billion bond programme. Babs also established the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) office and the Debt Management Office (DMO), as well as creating products to increase Internally Generated Profit.

Furthermore, Babs Ogundeyi cofounded Motor Trader Nigeria, Nigeria’s first classified car magazine, which was vended to a major newspaper company after just one time on the market. Babs has been named one of Nigeria’s top ten covid-19 originators for his sweats to combat the epidemic’s goods.

He has audited and advised some of Africa’s largest banks and has a wealth of experience in the fiscal services sector.

Likewise, he served as Head of the state’s Microfinance Bank, converting it from a$ 2 million loss position into a profit- making reality within four times.

Kuda Bank’s CEO, Babs Ogundeyi is married to Honey Oyindamola Ogundeyi. She's a fashion tech, CEO of Fashpa, an entrepreneur, Innovator and a vlogger. Also, the founder of Fashpa.com, a Nigeriane-commerce point and the founder of edukoya, an educational literacy app. They're blessed with two kids, ten and seven years old respectively.
