Mercy Chinwo is a unique and talented Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, actress, and comedian. She started singing at age 8 in her church children’s choir group. She's known for her soft voice and gospel music that Christians each over the world have been touched by. In 2012, she came to limelight after emerging winner of the popular TV show ‘Nigerian Idols’.

Mercy Chinwo Background
Mercy Chinwo Nnenda, born on September 5, 1990, was raised in Port Harcourt. She was born into the family of five in Rivers state, Nigeria. Mercy lost her father at an immature age, and had to fend for herself and other siblings. As a result, she took her music passion more seriously.
Mercy Chinwo Career
Mercy Chinwo started from the children’s choir in church at age 8. Subsequently, she moved into the adult choir and was appointed the music director of her original church. She was also advancing her voice to gospel music ministers like Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan and Preye. Later on, she began to partake in musical competitions until she set up Nigerian Idol. She surfaced winner in the season 2 of the Nigerian Idol show, and came to limelight. In 2015, she released her debut single “Testimony” and subsequently Igwe (2016).
On February 20, 2018, Mercy released her debut factory anthology “The Cross My Aspect”. The 16- track contemporary gospel songs was produced by EeZee Conceptz under Dixtrit Media. It had some guest appearances from Shady B, Fiokee, Chris Morgan, and Olaitan Odoko. Since then, Mercy has continued to release soul-lifting inspirational songs.

The 31-year-old Nigerian gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo, announced her engagement to Blessed Uzochikwa, the resident Pastor at The WaterBrook Church (TWC) on 23rd June, 2022. The song minister shared pictures of herself and her fiancé via her Instagram page.
Her finace, Blessed also took to his Instagram page, where he expressed gratitude to God and affirmed his love for the singer.
Mercy Chinwo Accident.
In November 2019, Mercy Chinwo was rumoured to have been involved in a ghastly motor accident. Her management record label, EeZee Concepts Global, attested and cleared the air on this issue making it known that the rumour was false. The post (by her management) was made on the 16th of November, 2019, stating categorically that her artist is fine and also in a good state of health.
